Why are music films always so good!?

So I was watching Shane Meadow's documentary on The Stone Roses last night (which was brilliant by the way) and it got me thinking: films that are associated with music never usually disappoint. Just think about it for a second and then you'll realise it like I did. Here are some of the many great films I managed to come up with: School of Rock, This Is Spinal Tap, Walk the Line, Nowhere Boy. This list could go on list for ages but I'll stop now to avoid making this blog post boring.

Honestly this was such a spur of the moment thing and I just had to write about it because I thought it was a decent point. Obviously not all films associated with music are amazing but the majority of them are. The ones that first sprung into my mind were ones that I very much enjoyed.

That's all I wanted to say really. Sorry that this blog post was a bit brief, but remember, if you can't decide what film to watch then pick one that has something to do with music. It probably won't let you down.
